Privacy Policy

This website (https://cari-davis.com) collects personally identifiable information only in order to function smoothly and to create or enhance our relationship with you.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it:

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the Ladies of the Muse newsletter, it is managed by a third party (MailerLite). Data will not be sold or made available to any third parties, and you may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link available at the bottom of every newsletter.

Cookies

Cookies are small bits of information that the website places on your device. Cookies enable the website to remember your actions and preferences on the site and enable website to make your visits more enjoyable. You can set your web browser to warn you each time a cookie is being sent or to refuse cookies completely. You can also delete cookies from your web browser at any time.

Google Analytics

We have integrated Google Analytics (with anonymization function) on this website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service, which collects and analyzes data about the behavior of visitors to websites. A web analysis is mainly used to optimize a website and for the cost-benefit analysis of marketing and advertising. The operator of the Google Analytics component is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google might transfer the personal information collected via this technical procedure to third parties. Because IP anonymization is activated on our website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within Member States of the European Union or other states in agreement with the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by a Google server in the USA. On behalf of the operator of the website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and to provide further services related to website and internet use to us. The IP address transferred through your browser to Google Analytics will not be combined with other data held by Google. Further information about Google‘s applicable privacy regulations can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

Links and Embedded Content

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We take your privacy very seriously. We will not use the personal data you provide to us for purposes different from the purpose for which it was submitted, or share your information with third parties beyond what is expressly stated in this privacy policy.

How long we retain your data:
